The Supreme Court said on IMA’s petition, “The court will take any such violation very seriously.” IMA’s petition refers to advertisements in which modern medicine is allegedly used to mislead the public. The Supreme Court on August 23 issued notices to the Health Ministry, AYUSH Ministry and Patanjali Ayurveda on IMA’s plea alleging that Ramdev was running a defamation campaign against the vaccination campaign and modern medicines.
