Farooq Abdullah, the president of the National Conference, urged Pakistan to stop promoting terrorism in India on Monday and denounced the terrorist assault that occurred in Gagangir, Jammu & Kashmir. If Pakistan wished to have good relations with New Delhi, he argued, it would have to stop these operations.
With the recent formation of a government in Union territory, Farooq Abdullah made a commitment that Kashmir will never become part of Pakistan.
“I want to let Pakistan’s leadership know that they must stop doing this if they hope to have positive relations with India. Pakistan nahi banega Kashmir (Kashmir will never be a part of Pakistan). “Let us succeed and live with dignity,” he remarked.
If Pakistan continued to support terrorism on its territory, he threatened to bring about “very severe” consequences.
How could they establish Pakistan now if they were unable to do so for seventy-five years? The time to put an end to terrorism has come; the consequences could be dire. “If they kill our innocent people, how will we have talks?” he said.
Terrorists attacked a tunnel construction site on the Srinagar-Leh national highway in the Ganderbal area on Sunday, killing a doctor and six laborers.
“This attack was regrettable… A doctor and some poor immigrant laborers died. What does this mean for the terrorists? Do they really believe they can establish Pakistan here? In order to move past the suffering, we are attempting to put an end to this,” Abdullah stated.
The heinous attack was carried out by at least two terrorists.
Four more laborers and a doctor later passed away from their wounds, leaving two dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, an investigator from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has traveled to Kashmir to look into the terror incident.
CM Omar Abdullah and Amit Shah denounce terrorism
Amit Shah, the Union’s home minister, called the terror incident a “despicable act of cowardice.”
“Our security forces will not spare those responsible for this horrific conduct and will deal with them harshly. I send the families of the departed my deepest sympathies during this time of great sorrow. I’m hoping for a quick recovery for everyone who was hurt,” he stated.
The incident was described as “dastardly and cowardly” by Omar Abdullah, the newly appointed chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Very sad news of a heinous and brutal attack in the Sonamarg region’s Gagangir on non-local laborers. These workers were engaged in a significant local infrastructure project. In this militant attack, two people have died and two to three more have been injured. Omar posted on X on Sunday, saying, “I vehemently denounce this attack on defenseless innocent people and offer my sympathies to their families.
