Starc, who hasn’t played in the IPL since 2015, was acquired by Kolkata Knight Riders for a whopping Rs 24.75 crore. On the other hand, Pat Cummins, the Australian cricket captain, was picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad for a record price of Rs 20.5 crore. Chennai Super Kings also made a significant purchase by acquiring Daryl Mitchell from New Zealand for Rs 14 crore. Harshal Patel from India was the third most expensive player, bought for Rs 11.75 crore.
