Starc, who hasn’t played in the IPL since 2015, was acquired by Kolkata Knight Riders for a whopping Rs 24.75 crore. On the other hand, Pat Cummins, the Australian cricket captain, was picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad for a record price of Rs 20.5 crore. Chennai Super Kings also made a significant purchase by acquiring Daryl Mitchell from New Zealand for Rs 14 crore. Harshal Patel from India was the third most expensive player, bought for Rs 11.75 crore. CSK also secured the services of Rachin Ravindra, the breakout star of the recent Cricket World Cup, for Rs 1.8 crore.
