Andhra Expresses Gratitude: Chandrababu Naidu Thanks PM Modi for Amaravati and Polavaram Allocations in Budget 2024 !

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who is also the Telugu Desam Party chief, expressed his gratitude to the Centre for acknowledging the requirements of the state and providing funds for various projects, such as the construction of the new capital, Amaravati. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman unveiled a series of initiatives for the progress of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday, which included the allocation of Rs 15,000 crore for the advancement of Amaravati, as part of the Budget 2024.

Naidu expressed gratitude on X, stating, “I extend my thanks to the Hon’ble Prime Minister, @narendramodi Ji and Hon’ble Union Finance Minister, @nsitharaman Ji, for acknowledging the requirements of our State and prioritizing the Capital, Polavaram, industrial nodes, and the development of backward areas in AP in the union budget of FY 24-25.”

The support extended by the Centre will greatly contribute to the reconstruction of Andhra Pradesh. I commend the presentation of this forward-thinking and confidence-boosting budget,” he stated in the post. Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh also expressed his gratitude to the Centre. Lokesh mentioned in a post on X in Telugu, “I am thankful to the central government for committing to provide full assistance for the completion of the projects in Amaravati, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, and Polavaram, Jeevanadi.”

On behalf of the people of the state, we appreciate the NDA government for pledging to rebuild Andhra Pradesh by allocating Rs.15 thousand crores in the budget,” he remarked. The Finance Minister also assured that the Centre would offer special financial aid for the development of the new capital city of Andhra Pradesh. She further emphasized that the Centre is fully dedicated to funding and finishing the Polavaram irrigation project. Sitharaman also allocated over Rs 3 lakh crore for women-specific schemes in the state. She declared a backward region grant for three districts of the state during the Union Budget.
