“Leo” made an impressive ₹148 crore on its first day of release, setting a new record for the highest first-day earnings for a Tamil film worldwide.
“Leo” was released on October 19, 2023, in various formats and languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. An edited version with a 15+ rating was released in the UK, followed by an uncut 18 rated version. It marked Vijay’s first IMAX release in the UK and was the first Tamil film to release in Bangladesh on the same day as other major countries. In North America, it premiered in over 999 locations on October 18, 2023.
This movie features Vijay as the main character, along with other actors like Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Trisha, Madonna Sebastian, and more. It’s part of the third movie series by Lokesh, and it’s based on a film called “A History of Violence” from 2005, which was originally a comic book.
