WhatsApp rolls out a new feature for “Voice Notes that disappear, Enhancing Privacy in Your Conversations”!

WhatsApp has recently introduced a new feature called View Once for voice messages. This feature allows users to send voice messages that disappear after they have been listened to. Similar to the View Once feature for photos and videos introduced earlier this year, this new feature adds an extra layer of privacy to your messages.

With the disappearing voice notes feature, you no longer have to worry about your voice message being forwarded to someone else. By simply turning on this feature, you can send your voice note without any concerns.

WhatsApp highlighted several situations where the disappearing voice message feature can be useful. For instance, you may want to use it to share sensitive information with a friend or when you’re planning a surprise and want to keep it a secret.

To send a disappearing voice message, all you need to do is record your message as usual and then tap the new one-time icon before sending it. The recipient will only be able to listen to the message once, and it will then vanish from their chat history.

It’s important to note that like all personal messages on WhatsApp, disappearing voice messages are protected with end-to-end encryption by default. This means that only the sender and the recipient can access the message, ensuring its privacy.

WhatsApp has stated that the View Once feature for voice messages will be rolled out globally in the coming days. If you want to learn more about how it works, you can visit the WhatsApp Help Center.

WhatsApp has been continuously adding privacy-focused features, and the latest addition is the introduction of disappearing voice messages. Along with the View Once photos and videos, WhatsApp ensures end-to-end encryption for all messages and calls, and provides the option to delete messages for everyone in a chat. Recently, WhatsApp also released the Secret Code feature, allowing users to create a personalized password using words or emojis to enhance the security of their chats.
