According to a report, actor Urmila Matondkar has filed for divorce from model and businessman Mohsin Akhtar Mir. Mohsin Akhtar Mir and Urmila Matondkar were wed for eight years. “After careful consideration, Urmila has decided to call it quits on her marriage with Mohsin,” a source close to the pair told Hindustan Times. She’s already submitted a court petition for divorce. Even though the cause of the separation is yet unknown, the divorce is not amicably proceeding.”
On February 4, 2016, Urmila Matondkar and Mohsin Akhtar Mir tied the knot in a small-scale ceremony. Only the actress’s closest friends and family members attended the wedding, which was held at her Mumbai home. Mohsin and Urmila reportedly met in 2014 during the wedding of designer Manish Malhotra’s niece, according to a Hindustan Times article.
Masoom, Shekhar Kapur’s adaptation of Erich Segal’s 1980 novel Man, Woman and Child, starred Urmila Matondkar as a young actor.
In the 1990s, she was in several hits. Among her well-known film credits are Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya Bhoot, Rangeela, Judai, Satya, Mast, and Ek Hasina Thi. Urmila last acted in the 2014 Marathi movie Ajoba. She hasn’t been seen on screen since. She also made a brief cameo in the 2018 movie Blackmail song Bewafa Beauty.
