While the company has been teasing the camera capabilities of the phones, no further information has been disclosed yet. Nevertheless, numerous leaks and rumors have surfaced, providing us with a plethora of details regarding the camera and design of these smartphones.
Realme recently hinted at the imminent release of a new smartphone in India, boasting a periscope camera. Today, a new teaser has emerged, suggesting that the smartphone will surpass the 200 MP mark. The teaser simply states, “Beyond 200MP, periscope awaits.” Unfortunately, the company has not provided any further details, including the specific smartphone model. However, it is highly likely that Realme is referring to the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+, based on previous patterns. Interestingly, considering the launch of the Realme 11 Pro+ in May 2023, it appears that Realme may be planning an early release for these flagship devices to outshine the competition. Since the teaser was released, there have been several rumors circulating about the chipset, camera, and design specifications of the upcoming Realme smartphones. According to a recent report, the Realme 12 Pro+ is expected to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset in India. Additionally, leakster Ishan Agarwal shared live images of the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+ on the Chinese certification website TENAA.
The leak of the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+ certification provides us with three significant details. Firstly, it confirms that the smartphones are currently in the production phase and the company has completed the development process. They are now undergoing the final certification procedure, which is typically one of the last steps before the official launch. Based on this information, it is reasonable to expect that the smartphones will be ready for release in India by the second week of February at the latest.
Secondly, the leaked listing reveals the design of the devices. Both the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+ showcase a circular camera design at the back. The camera module is positioned in the middle of the top end of the phone’s rear and consists of four camera sets and an LED flash.
