The teaser for Vikas Bahl’s upcoming horror film, Shaitaan, was released by the cast and makers, providing a glimpse into the story of the film. Since the announcement of the title, there has been an air of mystery surrounding the project. Yesterday, the makers unveiled a one-minute-plus teaser that showcased the spine-chilling nature of the film. Additionally, the teaser confirmed what many had speculated after the release of the first look on Wednesday – Madhavan portrays the eponymous evil character in Shaitaan. The Teaser
Madhavan’s voice-over in the teaser captivates the audience as he reveals his ability to manipulate unsuspecting individuals. He asserts his control over the world, despite its apparent deafness, emphasizing his influence over others. Madhavan claims to embody darkness, temptation, and the ruler of the nine circles of hell, from sinister prayers to forbidden spells. He further declares himself as both poison and cure, a silent observer of all experiences. He encompasses the essence of night and twilight, encompassing the entire universe. Madhavan asserts his power to create, sustain, and destroy, cautioning everyone to be wary. He warns that no one is spared from his influence. The teaser also provides glimpses of voodoo dolls and other objects associated with black magic, hinting at the film’s theme. The teaser concludes with Madhavan’s ominous smile, leaving Ajay and Jyotika filled with fear, reluctant to confront him.
Shaitaan’s story
Shaitaan is scheduled to be released on March 8th. While the makers have kept the plot tightly under wraps, the main cast has been dropping hints through their captions. Ajay shared the teaser on his Instagram and wrote, “He will ask you… it’s a game, will you play? But don’t fall for his temptations!” Jyotika wrote, “The game is his, and so are the rules. That’s how Shaitaan tempts you.” Madhavan’s caption read, “No matter what happens, don’t give in to his temptations.”
The team
Shaitaan marks Jyotika’s comeback to Hindi cinema after a break, while Janki Bodiwala makes her debut in this film, which is jointly presented by Jio Studios, Ajay Devgn Ffilms, and Panorama Studios International. The film is produced by Ajay, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music for the film, and there is speculation about whether it is a remake of Krishnadev Yagnik’s 2023 Gujarati film Vash.
