Two Soldiers Martyred, Two Injured in Fierce Gunfight with Terrorists in J&K’s Kishtwar!

In a gunfight with terrorists on Friday in Chatroo village of the Kishtwar region of Jammu and Kashmir, two troops were killed and two more were injured. Images of the slain soldiers were posted on social media platform X, where the White Knight Corps of the Indian Army verified the news.

The corps posted on social media, saying, “White Knight Corps and all ranks salute the supreme sacrifice of the #Bravehearts; offer deepest condolences to the families.”

The names of the fallen troops are Sepoy Arvind Singh and Naib Subedar Vipan Kumar.
In the meantime, reinforcements have been sent to the region to support the security forces engaged in the counterterrorism operation, and the wounded soldiers have been taken to the hospital.
Following a tip, a joint Army-police security unit in the Naidgham area of the Chhatroo belt launched a cordon-and-search operation, which resulted in a shootout.
The corps had earlier said that intelligence inputs led to the initiation of a combined operation with the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
The corps stated, “A joint operation with J&K Police was launched in area Chatroo at #Kishtwar based on the intelligence inputs.”
