For the past three days, army helicopters have been in charge of dropping relief materials in Bihar’s flood-affected regions. It first began in Sitamarhi. The chopper lost control while dropping relief materials and crashed into the ocean. Locals rushed in to help the rescue squad members.

The incident occurred in the flood-affected area of Ghanshyampur, which is part of the Aurai block of Muzaffarpur district. The villagers consider it a blessing that the pilot and army soldiers were not injured in the disaster. As soon as the tragedy occurred, a large throng gathered around the scene. All of the soldiers were successfully rescued from the floodwaters thanks to the villagers’ initiative.
