Derailment of a West Bengal train: Today, November 9, approximately three coaches of the 22850 Secunderabad-Shalimar Superfast Weekly Express derailed and fell off the tracks in Nalpur.
Around 5:31 a.m., the train derailed as it passed the Kharagpur Division’s Nalpur station. When the railway officials got there, people were being pulled from the derailed coaches.
Near the South Eastern Railway division’s Nalpur Station, three coaches and one package trailer from the Secunderabad Shalimar SF Express derailed. According to CPRO South-Eastern Railway, no casualties have been confirmed as of yet.
The disaster relief and medical relief trains from Santragachi and Kharagpur have arrived at the derailment site. To transport the stranded travelers to their destinations, buses have been organized. The process of rehabilitation is underway.
According to the railways, only one or two passengers have suffered minor injuries, and there hasn’t been any significant damage or casualties thus far. According to accounts, two passenger coaches and a parcel van were among the three derailed coaches that occurred on Saturday.
