The Supreme Court has informed Tamil Nadu that the Ayodhya live telecast depicts a society that is homogeneous.

The Supreme Court has addressed Tamil Nadu, stating that the live telecast of the opening of the Ram Mandir cannot be denied.

The court emphasized that the permission cannot be rejected solely based on the presence of other communities in the neighborhood. The court referred to the society as homogeneous and urged the Tamil Nadu government not to prevent the telecast on this ground. This order was issued in response to a plea against the ban on live telecast of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ in Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir in temples across the southern state. The plea argued that the ban violated the fundamental rights guaranteed to Indian citizens under the Constitution. Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai clarified that devotees of Bhagwan Shri Ram are free to telecast the event on LED screens within private premises and to inform HR&CE-administered temples. The court’s order followed criticism from Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who shared a video of LED screens being taken down from the Kamakshi Amman Temple.

Nirmala Sitharaman, while referring to the DMK party as “anti-Hindu,” accused them of displaying their “animosity” towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi through the use of police force and suppressing the aspirations of the people. Today, she had planned to witness the live streaming of the Ram Mandir inauguration from the temple.

In the meantime, Ayodhya has been beautifully decorated with flowers and streetlights, attracting numerous celebrities who have been arriving in the city since morning for the grand inauguration of the Ram Mandir. Prominent figures from Bollywood such as Amitabh Bachchan, along with his son Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, as well as renowned south Indian actors Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi, and others, have been seen departing for or arriving in Ayodhya in preparation for the consecration ceremony.

Furthermore, former cricketer and legendary figure Anil Kumble has also arrived in Ayodhya to participate in the opening of the Ram temple.
