The Prime Minister’s jab at Rahul Gandhi insinuates that he will escape from Wayanad similar to how he left Amethi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a jibe at Rahul Gandhi, a Congress MP, during a rally in Nanded, Maharashtra. Referring to Gandhi as “shehzada” (prince), PM Modi mentioned that the Congress party was eagerly waiting for the polling in Wayanad on April 26. He sarcastically remarked that Gandhi would “run away” from Wayanad, just like he did from Amethi in 2019.

This translates to, “Congress’s prince (Rahul Gandhi) is facing a crisis in Wayanad. Prince and his aides are waiting for polling on April 26. You can assume that he will leave Wayanad as he ran away from Amethi.”

It is worth mentioning that Gandhi is contesting from Wayanad for the second time, having also contested from Amethi, his family stronghold, in 2019. While he faced defeat in Amethi against Union Minister Smriti Irani, he managed to secure a victory in Wayanad.

During the rally, PM Modi also questioned the INDIA bloc parties about their choice of a united leader after the elections.

PM Modi further stated that the INDIA bloc is incapable of informing the citizens of India about the leader of the coalition.

“The INDIA bloc is unable to disclose the identity of their leader to the people of India,” PM Modi remarked.

He also highlighted that Congress leaders had already admitted defeat even before the official announcement of the elections.

“Regardless of their claims, it is evident that Congress leaders have already accepted their defeat prior to the polls being announced,” stated PM Modi, who is aiming for a third term.

Furthermore, PM Modi accused the Congress party of obstructing the progress and development of Maharashtra.

“For decades, the Congress party has impeded the growth and development of Maharashtra,” PM Modi asserted.

During his rally, PM Modi also urged the public to ensure maximum voter turnout in the upcoming elections.

The elections for the 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra will be conducted in five phases from April 19 to May 20. The results will be declared on June 4.

In Nanded, the voting will take place during the second phase on April 26.
