Tata Motors Unveils Curvv EV SUV: Priced at ₹17.49 Lakh with Up to 585 km Range and 15-Minute Fast Charging !

Tata Motors has introduced the Curvv EV in the Indian market, with a starting price of Rs. 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The premium long-range variant is priced at Rs. 21.99 lakh, and bookings for this coupe SUV are set to commence on 12 August 2024. In terms of design, similar to the Curvv ICE, the EV features an eye-catching exterior that reflects Tata’s distinctive design philosophy.

The front end is highlighted by elegant LED headlights and a prominent grille, contributing to its modern aesthetic. The coupe-like profile imparts a dynamic appearance, while the uniquely crafted alloy wheels enhance its overall attractiveness. At the rear, the vehicle is equipped with sleek LED tail lights that span its width.

The interior showcases a minimalistic design philosophy, highlighted by a sleek dashboard that features a prominently positioned touchscreen infotainment system equipped with the latest connectivity technologies. A digital instrument cluster presents essential information clearly, while the multifunction steering wheel enhances user convenience.

Additional amenities comprise a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate, updated key fobs, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, a wireless charging pad, an electric parking brake, and an engine start-stop mechanism. In terms of safety, the vehicle is equipped with six airbags, electronic stability program (ESP), auto-hold functionality, all-disc braking system, and level 2 advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).

In line with other electric vehicles from Tata, the Curvv EV is available in both standard and long-range configurations. The standard model features a 45kWh battery pack, which provides an ARAI-certified range of 502 kilometers. Conversely, the higher-end variants of the Curvv EV are fitted with a more substantial 55kWh battery pack, boasting an ARAI-claimed range of 585 kilometers. Additionally, the Curvv EV is built on the acti.ev platform, and the latest generation of battery packs has been engineered to facilitate ultra-fast charging. With DC charging, it is possible to add 150 kilometers of range in just 15 minutes.
