“Strength in Unity: BJP Leaders Embrace ‘Modi Ka Parivar’ on Social Media, Defying Lalu Prasad’s ‘No Family’ Narrative”

Prominent members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Transport and Highway Minister Nitin Gadkari, modified their names on the X platform to ‘Modi ka Parivaar (Modi’s family)’ on Monday. The name changes occurred following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech in Telangana, where he expressed, “140 crore countrymen are my family.

Today, crores of daughters, mothers, and sisters of the country are Modi’s family. Every underprivileged individual in the nation is my family. Those who are alone also belong to Modi, and Modi belongs to them. My India-My family, with the expansion of these sentiments, I am dedicated to you, fighting for you, and will continue to strive for you to realize my aspirations with unwavering resolve.”

The Prime Minister’s statement regarding ‘Modi ka Parivar’ can be seen as a direct criticism towards the alliance formed by the INDIA bloc. By highlighting that the RJD leader Lalu Yadav claimed to have no family, the Prime Minister implied that the entire nation considers themselves a part of his family. He also emphasized that even those who feel they have no one still belong to him, and he belongs to them.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister asserted that his life is an open book, known to the people of the country. He reminisced about leaving his home during his childhood with a dream to serve the nation. “I left home with the aspiration to dedicate my life to the welfare of my fellow countrymen,” stated PM Modi.

During the Jan Vishwas Maha Rally in Patna on Sunday, Lalu Yadav, the leader of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), expressed his views on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent criticism of ‘parivaarvaad’ (dynasty politics). Lalu Yadav questioned why PM Modi, who himself does not have any children or a family, accuses those with more children of engaging in dynasty politics. He further remarked that PM Modi does not even have a family and questioned his religious identity, stating that every Hindu shaves their head to mourn their mother’s death and asked why PM Modi has not done the same with his hair and beard.

In a show of solidarity with PM Modi, senior BJP leaders including Piyush Goyal, JP Nadda, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Kiren Rijiju, and Shivraj Singh Chouhan have added ‘Modi ka Parivaar’ in Hindi in front of their names on the X platform. This move is reminiscent of the ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar’ campaign on Twitter during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Additionally, it has been reported that PM Modi has donated ₹2000 to the BJP party.
