‘Salaar’ :- Prabhas’ Blockbuster Crosses Rs 500 Crore Worldwide, Eyes on to hit Rs 300 Crore Milestone in India on Day 6″

On Wednesday, the Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire made a significant impact at the worldwide box office. The film has now joined Prabhas’ other blockbusters, Baahubali and Baahubali 2, in the prestigious Rs 500 crore club. This achievement solidifies Prabhas’ status as a pan-India superstar. According to film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, Salaar has surpassed the Rs 500 crore mark and is steadily approaching the Rs 550 crore milestone globally.

At the domestic box office, Salaar is on track to surpass the Rs 300 crore mark on its seventh day. The film’s earnings so far include Rs 90.70 crore on the opening day, Rs 56.35 crore on the second day, Rs 62.05 crore on the third day, Rs 46.30 crore on the fourth day, Rs 24.90 crore on the fifth day, and an estimated Rs 17 crore on the sixth day.

According to the film trade portal Sacnilk, Salaar is estimated to have earned around Rs 297.40 crore as of Wednesday. The film maintained a decent overall occupancy rate across all its shows, with 28.98% in Hindi shows, 28.02% in Telugu shows, 22.95% in Kannada shows, 21.56% in Malayalam shows, and 18.20% in Tamil shows.

On December 27, Salaar sold over 7.67 lakh tickets worth Rs 15.74 crore across 9,521 shows in national multiplex chains. Notably, PVR cinema halls accounted for more than 1.16 lakh tickets worth Rs 3.42 crore, while Inox and Cinepolis sold more than 1.13 lakh tickets worth Rs 3.09 crore and 41,582 tickets worth Rs 1.17 crore respectively.

Directed by Prashanth Neel, the movie centers around a pair of companions whose friendship takes a bitter turn as a result of unforeseen circumstances. The cast includes Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Tinnu Anand, Sriya Reddy, and Easwari Rao in significant roles. Produced by Hombale Films, the film was released globally on December 22nd.
