Hyderabad: Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress party’s Telangana unit, is scheduled to attend a meeting on Tuesday regarding the caste survey that the state government has started.
Gandhi would take a special flight from Fursatgunj Airport in Uttar Pradesh to arrive here at 4:45 p.m., per the timetable provided to the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee.
According to TPCC officials who spoke to PTI, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok will go straight to the Gandhian Ideology Centre in Bowenpally here and take part in State Level Consultations on Caste Census until 6.30 PM.
He will take a plane back to the nation’s capital later.
B Mahesh Kumar Goud, the president of the TPCC, stated that the state unit would host the conference in order to get input from interested parties regarding the caste survey.
Rahul Gandhi promised to conduct a comprehensive socio-educational-economic-employment-political-caste survey prior to last year’s assembly elections, and the state administration has started the process.
Wednesday is when the survey will start.
