“Prime Minister Modi’s Spiritual Descent: Exploring the Submerged City of Dwarka with Prayers”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took part in a sacred ritual at the Dwarkadhish Temple in Gujarat’s Dwarka on Sunday, submerging himself in deep water. Describing the experience as “divine,” PM Modi expressed a profound connection to a bygone era of spiritual magnificence.

“In the holy city of Dwarka, where the waters embrace its sacredness, I had the privilege of offering my prayers. It was an ethereal encounter that transported me to an ancient epoch of spiritual opulence and unwavering devotion. May the blessings of Bhagwan Shri Krishna be bestowed upon us all,” the Prime Minister conveyed in his message on X.

PM Modi posted images of himself submerged underwater, donning scuba equipment, while he ventured through the submerged “lost city” associated with Lord Krishna.

During the Dwarka Darshan, Prime Minister Modi expressed his profound experience and the lasting impact it had on him. He had the opportunity to explore the depths of the sea and witness the ancient city of Dwarka, which holds great significance in Hindu scriptures. Archaeologists have extensively documented the submerged city of Dwarka, and it is described in our scriptures as a magnificent city adorned with grand gates and towering structures that reached the heavens. It is believed that Lord Krishna personally oversaw the construction of this remarkable city.

Upon delving into the depths of the sea, I encountered a sense of divinity. I humbly prostrated myself before Dwarkadhish, offering a peacock feather at the feet of Lord Krishna. The opportunity to visit and touch the remnants of the ancient Dwarka city had long piqued my curiosity. Today, my heart is brimming with emotions as a dream decades in the making has finally been realized.

The Gujarat government previously declared intentions to launch a submarine service in Dwarka, aimed at assisting pilgrims in exploring the remnants of the historic city.
