Prashant Kishor Criticizes Nitish Kumar: Claims He Brought Shame by Touching PM Modi’s Feet

Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar, was accused by political strategist turned activist Prashant Kishor of bringing disgrace to the state by touching Modi’s feet. Kishor claimed that Kumar did this to secure his position in power. Kishor’s criticism stemmed from Kumar’s act of bowing to touch Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s feet during the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting before the Prime Minister’s oath.

Kishor emphasized that Kumar had changed since their past collaboration, stating that Kumar’s integrity had been compromised. Kishor highlighted that a state’s leader should be a source of pride for its people, but Kumar’s actions had tarnished Bihar’s reputation.

Kishor noted that there has been much discussion regarding Nitish Kumar’s role in Modi’s re-election. However, the Bihar Chief Minister is not utilizing his influence to secure advantages for the state. Instead, he is prioritizing his own political position by seeking BJP’s support to remain in power even after the 2025 assembly elections.

It is worth mentioning that Kishor gained recognition in 2014 for managing Modi’s highly successful Lok Sabha campaign. Throughout his career as a political consultant until 2021, Kishor provided his services to various prominent politicians, such as Mamata Banerjee, Arvind Kejriwal, and Jagan Mohan Reddy.
