Maneka Gandhi, a BJP MP who was recently nominated for a Sultanpur ticket in Uttar Pradesh, conveyed her joy at being a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This declaration was made shortly after her son, Varun Gandhi, was refused a ticket from his Pilibhit constituency. At present, Maneka Gandhi is on a 10-day trip to Sultanpur.
The individual expressed their immense joy and gratitude for being a part of the BJP. They extended their thanks to Amit Shah, PM Modi, and Nadda Ji for granting them the ticket. Due to the delayed announcement of the ticket, they faced a dilemma regarding the constituency to contest from, Pilibhit or Sultanpur. They expressed their appreciation for the party’s final decision. As quoted by news agency ANI, they further stated their happiness in returning to Sultanpur, as it holds a historical significance where no MP has been able to regain power.
In response to the inquiry about her son Varun Gandhi’s next steps following the denial of a ticket, she advised, “It would be best to inquire directly with him regarding his intentions. We will address this matter post-elections. It is not an immediate concern.”
Updates on Lok Sabha Election 2024.
On March 28th, Gandhi penned a sincere message to the residents of Pilibhit, expressing, “As I compose this letter today, numerous memories flood my heart with emotion. I recall the 3-year-old boy who first arrived in Pilibhit in 1983, holding his mother’s hand. Little did he know that this land would eventually become his place of work, and its people would become his family.”
Despite the conclusion of my term as an MP, my connection with Pilibhit will persist until my last breath. Whether or not I hold the position of an MP, I am dedicated to serving you as a son throughout my entire life, and my doors will forever remain open to you, just as they were before. My entry into politics was driven by the desire to amplify the voice of the common man, and today I humbly seek your blessings to continue this noble work, regardless of the challenges it may entail. The bond between Pilibhit and myself transcends political achievements, as it is rooted in love and trust. I have been, I am, and I will always be yours,” he expressed. Varun emerged victorious in the Pilibhit constituency on two occasions.
