PM Modi initiates an 11-day ‘anushthan’ prior to the consecration ceremony of Ram Mandir.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared that he will partake in an 11-day anushthan (rituals) prior to the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony at Ayodhya’s Ram temple on January 22nd.

Only 11 days remain until the ‘pran pratishtha’ of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, and I consider myself fortunate to witness this auspicious occasion. I have been chosen by God to represent the people of India during this ceremony. With this in mind, I have commenced an 11-day special ritual starting today, and I humbly seek blessings from all of you. These words fail to fully express the depth of my emotions at this moment. This initiative is a personal endeavor on my part,” stated Prime Minister Modi in a video message on social platform X.

The significance of Prime Minister Modi’s 11-day anushthan is rooted in Hindu shastras, which prescribe a detailed ritual for the ‘pran pratishtha’ of a deity’s idol. There are specific rules that must be followed prior to the ceremony.

Despite his busy schedule and responsibilities, Prime Minister Modi has made the decision to diligently adhere to all the rituals. As a result, he has embarked on an 11-day anushthan. Hindu scriptures provide specific instructions for fasting prior to the consecration. As part of his daily routine, the prime minister observes rituals such as Brahma Muhurat Jagran, prayers, and a simple diet.

The grand Ram temple in Ayodhya will witness the prime minister presiding over the consecration ceremony on January 22. Extensive preparations are underway for this significant event, with invitations extended to numerous VVIP guests from both India and abroad.

The commencement of Vedic rituals is scheduled for January 16, a week prior to the main ceremony. On January 22, the esteemed priest Lakshmi Kant Dixit, hailing from Varanasi, will conduct the pivotal ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony.

In addition, a grand 1008 Hundi Mahayagya will be organized, aiming to provide nourishment to thousands of devotees. To accommodate the influx of devotees, several tent cities are being erected in Ayodhya.

The Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust has made arrangements to accommodate approximately 10,000-15,000 individuals.

Local authorities are diligently preparing for the expected surge in visitors during this momentous ceremony. They are implementing enhanced security measures and making logistical arrangements to ensure a seamless and spiritually enriching experience for all attendees.
