PM Modi expresses gratitude to voters in Live Updates on 2023 Election Results, guarantees a hat-trick of wins in 2024.

Live Updates on Assembly Elections 2023 Results: BJP is leading in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh after more than 10 hours of counting. Meanwhile, Congress narrowly escaped defeat only in Telangana. With this, BJP has established its presence in three major states of North India, also known as the ‘Hindi Heartland’. As BJP heads towards victory in these states, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his gratitude to the people for their unwavering support. He wrote on Twitter, “We salute Janata Janardhan. The results from Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan indicate that the people of India strongly support the politics of good governance and development for which the BJP stands.”

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has emerged victorious or is leading in 164 out of 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh, while the Congress party is in second place with only 65 seats. In Rajasthan, the BJP is leading on 115 out of 199 seats, while the Congress has secured only 69 seats so far. In Chhattisgarh, the BJP has obtained 54 seats, whereas the Congress has secured 35 seats. The Congress party, which is leading in 64 constituencies, is making efforts to remove the BRS government in Telangana.

Both the BJP and the Congress have strategized their campaigns with the upcoming general elections in mind. The BJP, which achieved victories in Gujarat and Tripura last year but faced setbacks in Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh, is in need of a win to gain momentum before the Lok Sabha elections. On the other hand, the Congress party is eager to secure victories in certain states, as it believes this will strengthen its position in seat-sharing discussions with its India Bloc allies.
