Ayodhya Ram Mandir Inauguration Ceremony Updates:
The long-awaited Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla is set to take place in the magnificent temple in Ayodhya, and the city is filled with religious fervor. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over the ceremony at the Ram Mandir. The consecration ceremony comes after the installation of the 51-inch idol of Ram Lalla in the temple on January 18th.
The idol, crafted by sculptor Arun Yogiraj from Mysuru, stands at 51 inches tall and depicts a graceful five-year-old Lord Ram standing on a lotus. It is meticulously carved from a single block of stone.
The ‘pran-pratishtha’ ceremony will commence at 12:20 PM on January 22nd, an auspicious time according to the nakshatra, and is expected to conclude by 1:00 PM. The event will be attended by approximately 7,000 VVIPs from various fields including actors, sportspersons, industrialists, and politicians.
The Ram Mandir, constructed in the traditional Nagara architectural style, spans 380 feet in the east-west direction, with a width of 250 feet and an impressive height of 161 feet. The vertical structure of the temple consists of floors, each measuring 20 feet in height, supported by 392 pillars and adorned with 44 gates.
Prior to the ceremony, PM Modi has been observing a strict 11-day ‘anushthan’, which includes sleeping on the floor and consuming only coconut water. He has also visited several temples across India and took a holy dip at the Rameswaram ‘Angi theerth’ beach.
According to PM Modi’s official schedule, he will arrive in Ayodhya at 10:25 AM and will address a public event after the conclusion of the ‘pran-pratishtha’ ceremony at around 1:00 PM.
