The BSE midcap index plummeted by 700 points to reach 41,320, whereas the small cap stocks index declined by 732 points to 45,961. Foreign institutional investors offloaded equities worth ₹2,168 crore on a net basis, whereas domestic investors purchased shares worth ₹781.39 crore today.
