The Manipur government disbursed funds on Friday to provide allowances to candidates from the hilly districts who took the UPSC-CSE (Civil Services Exam) 2024 outside the state. This action was taken following orders from the Supreme Court.
Khumanthem Diana Devi, Deputy Commissioner of Imphal East District, has officially announced the release of funds by the state government for deputy commissioners. The public note also disclosed that each candidate who applied for assistance will receive Rs 3,000 per day for three days, totaling Rs 9,000 per candidate. Despite the preliminary examinations taking place on June 16, applications for assistance are still being accepted by the state government. The deadline to submit applications and receive the monetary benefit has been set for June 25.
The public announcement additionally stated that in order to receive the advantage, all applicants must submit their applications together with the necessary paperwork, which includes their respective UPSC-CSE admit cards, bank account information, and residential certificates.
