Lok Sabha Election Results 2024: Following the Lok Sabha Election Results 2024, a significant number of Muslim women gathered outside the UP Congress party office to request a ‘Guarantee Card’, as reported by Source. These women, who had already received the Congress guarantee card, proceeded to fill in their personal details such as name, address, and contact number at the party office.
Some of them even mentioned receiving a receipt from the Congress office after submitting the guarantee card. The women expressed that the Congress had pledged financial assistance during the election campaign, and now that INDIA had performed well, they were there to hand in the guarantee card.
The Congress manifesto includes a promise of Rs 1 lakh for women from SC, ST, and backward categories. During the election campaign, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi stated that the new government would transfer Rs 1 lakh annually to the bank accounts of women from SC, ST, and backward categories. Additionally, Gandhi assured guaranteed apprenticeships for unemployed youths.
He highlighted that the manifesto outlines several revolutionary steps, including the transfer of Rs 1 lakh to the accounts of women from SC, ST, and backward categories, as well as those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. This initiative aims to provide them with financial support on a monthly basis.
