Modi’s Trip to Lakshadweep
During his recent visit to Lakshadweep on January 2nd, Prime Minister Modi expressed his optimism about the Union Territory, stating that it holds numerous possibilities. He emphasized the Union government’s unwavering commitment to the development of Lakshadweep as a whole, including Agatti. The Prime Minister’s sharing of photographs and videos showcasing the island’s pristine beauty garnered immense praise from netizens.
In addition, Modi encouraged adventure enthusiasts to consider adding Lakshadweep to their travel bucket list. He personally experienced the thrill of snorkeling during his stay and described it as an exhilarating experience.

As per reports from the nation, it has been brought to light that three deputy ministers of Maldives, namely Malsha Shareef, Mariyam Shiuna, and Abdulla Mahzoom Majid, who serve in the government’s youth ministry, have been suspended due to their disparaging comments against Modi. These comments were made in response to his post on ‘X’ after his visit to Lakshadweep, suggesting that it was an attempt to promote the Union Territory as a potential tourist destination instead of the Maldives.
