After the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol in Ayodhya, which was carried out with great pomp and attended by numerous dignitaries, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has stirred up controversy with his statement. He expressed his criticism towards the BJP, accusing them of trying to separate Lord Ram from Seeta and Lakshman. Siddaramaiah emphasized that Rama cannot exist without Lakshman and Sita, as Rama’s presence extends beyond Ayodhya and encompasses the Sri Rama temple in his village, which was built by him.
According to Siddaramaiah, Lord Rama is a deity for all, not just the BJP or Hindus alone. He asserted that they too are followers and devotees of Lord Ram. Furthermore, he mentioned his intention to visit Ayodhya in the future.
Earlier, the Congress declined the invitation to attend the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony, citing that it is an event organized by the RSS-BJP. Notable Congress leaders such as Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, and other prominent figures from the party did not participate in the ceremony.
Regarding the decision to decline the invitation for the grand ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony, Siddaramiah stated, “The BJP is attempting to portray that we are against Lord Ram, which is completely untrue. We do not oppose Lord Rama’s presence in Ayodhya. They are using this for political purposes.”
Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the pran pratishtha ceremony, marking the homecoming of Lord Ram after a span of 500 years in Ayodhya.
