Inviting 4 Thousand Saints to the “Consecration Ceremony of Ramlala at Ram Mandir”, Commencing on January 16th”

Update on Ram Mandir: The preparations for the consecration of Ram Lalla, scheduled to take place on January 22 in Ayodhya, are progressing rapidly. The temple trust continues to provide daily updates on the progress. In a recent tweet, Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra shared a new update regarding the consecration of Ramlala. According to the tweet, invitations have been extended to approximately four thousand saints for the Pran Pratistha ceremony at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple. This auspicious event will witness the presence of esteemed individuals such as Shankaracharya Mahamandaleshwar, prominent saints from Sikh and Buddhist sects, as well as representatives from Swami Narayan, Art of Living, Gayatri Parivar, farmers, and notable figures from the art world.

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra has extended invitations to journalists who were active between 1984 and 1992. Additionally, family members of the Kar Sevaks have also been invited. The consecration ceremony will commence on January 16 with the puja for the Pran-Pratishtha. The puja will be conducted by Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid of Kashi and Laxmikant Dixit. Following the Pran-Pratishtha puja, there will be a 48-day Mandal puja led by Vishvaprasna Tirtha ji.


The preparations for the ceremony are expected to be completed by January 15, as stated by Champat Rai, the General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. The puja for Pran Pratishtha will commence on January 16 and continue until January 22. A total of 150 sadhus from different traditions, including 13 Akharas and saints from six darshan traditions, will participate in the event. Around 4,000 saints have been invited, along with 2,200 other guests. Notable personalities such as the Dalai Lama, Mata Amritanandamayi, Baba Ramdev, Rajnikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Arun Govil, Madhur Bhandarkar, Mukesh Ambani, Anil Ambani, Vasudev Kamat, Nilesh Desai, and many others will also grace the consecration ceremony. Following the ceremony, the Mandal Puja will be observed for 48 days starting from January 24, according to the North Indian tradition. From January 23 onwards, the general public will be able to have darshan of Ramlala.

‘Proper arrangements for accommodation of guests’:

Rai mentioned that adequate provisions have been made to accommodate the guests at multiple locations in Ayodhya. Additionally, numerous monasteries, temples, and households have made 600 rooms available. Bhandara, a community feast, will also commence at three prominent venues starting from the 25th of December. Meanwhile, the Ayodhya Municipal Corporation has initiated preparations for the consecration ceremony. Municipal Commissioner Vishal Singh stated that restroom facilities for devotees and designated “changing rooms” for women will be constructed in Ayodhya.
