IndiGo Flights News: 10 IndiGo Flights Face Wave of Threats, Over 100 Hoax Calls in Just One Week !

On Tuesday, IndiGo Airlines announced that ten of its flights, mostly on foreign routes, were impacted by a number of new threats. The events, which involve numerous bogus calls, have increased the airline’s overall number of these threats received this week to almost 100.

The latest threats were directed against planes to important locations like Riyadh, Istanbul, and Jeddah. IndiGo complied with security procedures right away, guaranteeing that all passengers exited securely and that authorities were informed.

Flight 6E 164 from Mangaluru to Mumbai was one among the impacted planes and was issued a security warning. In-depth security checks were performed, and passengers were safely disembarked. Following routine operating protocols, passengers on Flight 6E 75 from Ahmedabad to Jeddah were safely evacuated after being taken to the isolation bay upon arrival.
Flight 6E 118 from Lucknow to Pune, Flight 6E 67 from Hyderabad to Jeddah, Flight 6E 18 from Istanbul to Mumbai, Flight 6E 83 from Delhi to Dammam, Flight 6E 77 from Bengaluru to Jeddah (diverted to Doha), Flight 6E 12 from Istanbul to Delhi, Flight 6E 65 from Kozhikode to Jeddah (diverted to Riyadh), and Flight 6E 63 from Delhi to Jeddah are among the other flights that encountered comparable threats.

While expressing sorrow for the inconvenience, IndiGo has assured customers that their safety is still its first concern. In each instance, the airline collaborated extensively with the appropriate authorities to make sure that all required actions were performed.
This comes one day after Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu declared that calling airlines with false bomb threats will be considered a crime.

These calls have been received by multiple carriers in the last few days, severely impacting flight operations nationwide.
