India’s top-order was led by Virat Kohli who scored a hundred. India registered 397/8 in reply to New Zealand’s innings of 398/8 in the 1st semi-final of cricket’s 2023 ICC World Cup.
Four years ago, New Zealand made it to the final of the competition, but this time around they won’t be able to do the same. The Black Caps were always going to have a tough job chasing down the target of 398, but credit goes to Williamson and Mitchell for making India sweat with a huge partnership. Shami was too good for the Black Caps, but they can go home with a smile on their face.
