In the esteemed global passport ranking of 2024, the Indian passport proudly claims the 80th position, granting its holders visa-free access to an impressive 62 countries. Notably, India shares this influential rank with Uzbekistan, highlighting the robust standing of both nations’ passports. In contrast, the neighboring country, Pakistan, secures the 101st spot in this prestigious list.

Over the last five years, Singapore and Japan have consistently dominated the global passport landscape, boasting the most powerful travel documents that facilitated visa-free travel to numerous countries for their citizens. However, a significant shift has occurred in the current year, as four European nations have ascended to the pinnacle of the Henley Passport Index 2024. France, Germany, Italy, and Spain now collectively hold the top spot, affording their residents visa-free access to an impressive 194 out of 227 destinations. This marks an increase of three destinations compared to the previous year.
