“Indian Dairy Delights Set to Enter the Brazilian Market with a Grand Debut”

In order to enhance milk production and enhance the quality of herds, the two nations have also agreed to establish a center of excellence in Amreli, Gujarat.
New Delhi: Senior officials from India and Brazil have confirmed that discussions are underway regarding the possibility of opening up the Brazilian market to Indian dairy products. This includes camel milk and special cheese. The two governments are working together on this initiative, which comes after Brazil recently opened its doors to Indian millet exports. As part of this proposed partnership, there are also plans to establish a center of excellence in Amreli, Gujarat. This center aims to enhance milk production and improve the quality of herds. Brazilian agricultural attache Angelo de Queiroz Mauricio stated that there is a demand in Brazil for camel milk and other dairy products such as Cazain and specific types of yellow cheese, and these trade opportunities are currently being discussed between the two countries.

Indian imports of vegetable oil, sugar, and pulses played a significant role in contributing to the trade imbalance. In contrast, India exports spices and processed vegetables to Brazil, but in much smaller quantities. This dairy trade initiative is viewed as a positive step towards addressing the trade imbalance and fostering greater bilateral cooperation.
