India-Maldives dispute: EaseMyTrip provides discounts on NATIONFIRST and BHARATFIRST codes !

On X, Nishant Pitti, the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EaseMyTrip, revealed the information about two discount codes: NATIONFIRST or BHARATFIRST. This announcement was made on the online travel booking platform EaseMyTrip.com.

The discount was offered amidst the dispute surrounding the offensive remarks made by Maldives leaders about Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week.
Previously, Nishant Pitti had declared the temporary halt of all flight bookings to the Maldives due to the controversy.
Expressing solidarity with India, Nishant Pitti utilized social media platform X to convey, “In support of our country, @EaseMyTrip has temporarily suspended all flight bookings to the Maldives.”

The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has recently urged traders and exporters to abstain from engaging in business transactions with the Maldives. This call comes in response to offensive remarks made towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which have been deemed unacceptable by the business community. CAIT Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal emphasized that this boycott serves as a means to demonstrate solidarity and express disapproval against such disrespectful behavior.
