Vaughan further claimed that the entire tournament seemed to be primarily focused on India.
Vaughan highlighted a specific incident involving Afghanistan’s qualification for the World Cup semi-final. He pointed out that after winning in St Vincent on Monday night, the team faced a four-hour flight delay on Tuesday to Trinidad. This left them with no time to practice or familiarize themselves with the new venue, which Vaughan deemed as disrespectful towards the players.
In another tweet, Vaughan emphasized that teams should be granted at least one day of preparation when reaching the semi-finals. He believed that earning a spot in the semi-final should come with the privilege of having adequate time to prepare.
