Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to commence a series of developmental projects and lay the foundation stone for several others worth ₹15,700 crore during his visit to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh today. This visit holds great significance as it precedes the consecration of the Ram Temple on January 22.
PM Modi will also inaugurate the Ayodhya airport, the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, and the Ayodhya Dham Junction railway station, among other important projects. Additionally, he will flag off six Vande Bharat and two Amrit Bharat trains, along with various rail initiatives. His visit is scheduled to commence at approximately 11:15 am.
In a recent statement, the Prime Minister expressed his government’s commitment to preserving the rich heritage of the sacred city. He also provided a list of the projects that he will inaugurate on Saturday.
Meanwhile, preparations are underway for the opening of the Ram Temple, following a seven-day-long consecration ceremony that commenced on January 16. Inside the sanctum sanctorum of the magnificent temple, a 51-inch-tall idol of Lord Ram, representing his five-year-old self, will be installed. Yesterday, a vote was conducted to select the idol design, and the Ram Janmbhoomi Teertha Kshetra trust unanimously chose one that will be brought for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony.
