Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and four others have been acquitted in the murder case of former Dera manager Ranjit Singh by the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The decision was announced today by Justices Sureshwar Thakur and Lalit Batra, who were hearing the appeals filed by Ram Rahim and the others.
In 2021, they had been convicted by a CBI Court in Panchkula, Haryana. However, it is important to note that Ram Rahim will remain in jail as he has been convicted in a separate case of rape and another case of conspiracy to commit murder.
