“Greater Noida Nearing Completion of Sister City Pact with Loudoun County, USA”

The Greater Noida Authority has been actively pursuing an accord with Loudoun County, exploring the possibility of establishing a ‘sister city’ or ‘twin city’ relationship.

Officials have indicated that Greater Noida is on the brink of establishing a ‘Sister City’ agreement with Loudoun County in the United States, a development poised to pave the way for extensive investment, as well as academic and cultural exchanges between the two regions.

This prospective Sister City Agreement, also known as the twinning of cities, is anticipated to foster direct collaboration in various sectors such as education, business, culture, biotechnology, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, information technology, and more, facilitating a comprehensive exchange between the two cities.

On Tuesday, a delegation from Loudoun County, situated in the state of Virginia and approximately 70 kilometers from Washington DC, visited Greater Noida to engage in discussions and further explore the potential collaboration between the two locales.
As per a statement released by the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA), a meeting transpired between the American delegation, led by Buddy Rizer, who serves as the executive director of the Department of Economic Development of Loudoun County. This delegation engaged in discussions with N G Ravi Kumar, the CEO of GNIDA, and Medha Rupam, who holds the position of Additional CEO.

The primary objective of the meeting was to delve into negotiations and strive towards a mutual consensus regarding the terms of the proposed ‘Sister City’ agreement between Greater Noida and Loudoun County. The deliberations aimed to address and finalize the specifics of the pact, setting the groundwork for a potential collaboration between the two regions.
