2024 Dhanteras
This year’s Diwali celebrations begin on Tuesday, October 29, with the Dhanteras ceremony. The auspicious day, also called Dhantrayodashi, is joyfully and enthusiastically observed by Hindu believers.
Devotees honor Lord Dhanvantri, the god of medicine, and Lord Kuber, the god of wealth, during Dhanteras. Teras signifies the thirteenth day, while Dhan stands for wealth. As a result, people purchase gold, silver, and other fortunate commodities on this day, which is celebrated on the thirteenth lunar day of Krishna Paksha.
