“Folding into the Future: Details Reveal Vivo’s Upcoming Foldable Phone, Unveiling Chipset and Camera Specifications”

Vivo introduced the Vivo X Fold 2 exclusively in China in April of this year. However, the company is now preparing to release the next iteration of its foldable smartphone, the Vivo X Fold 3. While it is uncertain whether the foldable device will be launched outside of China this time, there is a possibility that it will be showcased in the Indian market, considering the increasing popularity of foldable phones in India. Xiaomi, which has also released three generations of its foldable phones exclusively in its home market, recently presented the MIX Fold 3 to journalists in India.

Regarding the leaks that emerged on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, it is rumored that the Vivo X Fold 3 will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Additionally, the foldable phone is said to have a 2K display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Similar to the recently launched X series flagship phones, the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro, in China, the Vivo X Fold 3 is expected to come with an LTPO display. However, it is worth noting that the X100 Pro specifically boasts an 8T LTPO display.

The leaks also indicate that the X Fold 3 will weigh only 250 grams, which is lighter compared to the previous weight of 279 grams. Furthermore, the Vivo X Fold 3 is believed to support 100W wired charging speeds and 50W wireless charging.

The Vivo X Fold 3 is rumored to have a triple camera setup at the back, consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a periscope telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom, and an ultra-wide lens for wider shots. It is said to use the Sony LYT-900 camera sensor. It is uncertain whether Vivo will continue its partnership with Zeiss for the X Fold 3 foldable smartphone.

According to the leak, there is no information about the launch timeline of the Vivo X Fold 3, but it suggests that Vivo will also introduce the Vivo Pad 3 tablet in the Chinese market. The Vivo Pad 3 is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset.

While we eagerly await the arrival of the Vivo X Fold 3 in India, the company is currently gearing up to launch the Vivo X100 series next week. The Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro smartphones are scheduled to be launched in India on January 4. Both devices will feature a quad-camera setup, MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipsets, and a sleek design with a circular camera module at the back. The differences between the two smartphones lie in their battery capacity, charging speeds, camera specifications, and RAM and storage options.
