A special pilgrimage train named “Aastha” has commenced its journey from Goa to Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, carrying approximately 2,000 devotees. The flagging-off ceremony took place at Thivim railway station in North Goa district on Monday evening, with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, state BJP president Sadanand Shet Tanavade, and other MLAs in attendance.
Chief Minister Sawant announced that he, along with all state cabinet ministers, will embark on a visit to Ayodhya on February 15. During this visit, everyone, including those who traveled on the special train from Goa, will have the opportunity to offer prayers to Lord Ram. Sawant expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for realizing this long-awaited pilgrimage opportunity for the people of Goa.
The pilgrimage to Ayodhya has gained significant traction since the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple on January 22. The Indian Railways has facilitated the journey with “Aastha Special” trains, catering to devotees from various parts of the country. Tanavade emphasized that people from diverse backgrounds and walks of life will be participating in this pilgrimage journey to Ayodhya.
