FIR Filed Against Virat Kohli-Owned Pub on MG Road by Bengaluru Police !

The Bengaluru police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against One8 Commune, a pub owned by Indian cricketer Virat Kohli. It has been reported that the FIR was registered due to the pub exceeding the allowable operating hours set by the city. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Central mentioned, “Several pubs have been charged for staying open past the designated time…We have received multiple noise complaints regarding loud music being played.”

Pubs allowed to operate only till 1:20am

As per the First Information Report lodged against the pub, The One8 Commune pub located at Kasturba Road was caught serving patrons at 1:20am on July 6, which exceeds the permitted closing time. The Deputy Commissioner of Police Central stated that pubs were authorized to operate only until 1 am and not later. Additionally, the report mentioned that three other pubs faced similar consequences for serving customers past closing hours.

One8 Commune runs several branches

One8 Commune, supported by Kohli, runs various branches in key Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and Kolkata. The Bengaluru establishment of the pub can be found on the sixth floor of Ratnam’s Complex on Kasturba Road, close to M Chinnaswamy Stadium. This specific branch welcomed customers in December of the previous year. It is worth mentioning that Kohli shares a unique bond with Bengaluru due to his involvement with the Royal Challengers Bangalore team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since its beginning.
