According to the police, an exchange of fire occurred between security forces and Naxals in the West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand on Monday, resulting in the death of four Naxalites.
The security forces successfully seized weapons and ammunition from the deceased Naxals.
Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar, in an interview with India Today, stated that the search operations are currently ongoing.
Security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur district eliminated a total of eight Naxalites on Saturday. Following the operation, authorities confirmed that six of the deceased Naxals held high-ranking positions within the organization and had a combined bounty of Rs 48 lakh. The individuals were affiliated with the military company no. 1 of Naxalites under the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) and the Maad division supply team formations, as per a report from news agency PTI. In recent weeks, a total of thirteen Naxalites have been neutralized in separate encounters in the region.
