The trial run of the Mangaluru Central-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express by the Southern Railway is scheduled for Tuesday, December 26. Departing from Mangaluru Central at 8.30 a.m., the train will undergo the trial run. For the return journey, it will depart from Madgaon to Mangaluru at 1.45 p.m.
On December 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to inaugurate the regular service from a remote location, along with five other services.
The tentative timetable, which is yet to be confirmed by the railways, indicates that the regular service will depart from Mangaluru Central at 8.30 a.m. and arrive at Madgaon at 1.05 p.m., covering a distance of approximately 320 km. The train will have commercial halts at Udupi and Karwar. On the return trip, the Vande Bharat Express will leave Madgaon at 6.10 p.m. and reach Mangaluru Central at 10.45 p.m.
