“Explosive Device Damages Bridge Connecting Manipur and Nagaland”

In the early hours of Wednesday, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion inflicted damage on a bridge situated on National Highway 2, the vital route connecting Imphal and Manipur. The bridge, crucial for travel between Manipur’s Imphal and Nagaland’s Dimapur, suffered significant harm due to the blast.

Located along the National Highway 2, the bridge traverses through Koubru Leikha, Sapermeina villages, and Kangpokpi district in Manipur. The explosion occurred at approximately 12:45 am on Wednesday, causing disruption and concern along the route.

Thankfully, there were no reported injuries or casualties resulting from the incident. However, authorities swiftly implemented restrictions on the movement of heavy vehicles on the affected highway, emphasizing the need for caution and safety measures in the area.
