According to police insiders, a report by NDTV on Monday revealed that Elvish admitted to procuring snakes and snake venom for rave parties he hosted. According to the report, Elvish Yadav, who previously denied any connection to the snake venom case, confessed during his interrogation that he was acquainted with the other individuals who were arrested for supplying snake venom last year. The five individuals who were arrested and are currently released on bail have been identified as Rahul (32), Teetunath (45), Jaikaran (50), Narayan (50), and Ravinath (45). They all reside in Moharband village, located in southeast Delhi’s Badarpur.

Elvish Yadav, a popular YouTuber and singer hailing from Gurugram, rose to fame after emerging victorious in the Big Boss OTT 2 reality show, which was presented by Salman Khan in 2023. The Noida police took Elvish Yadav into custody on Sunday in connection with the snake venom scandal, where he and five accomplices were alleged to have been involved in the illegal sale of snake venom at rave gatherings in the National Capital Region.

Elvish Yadav has been remanded to 14-day judicial custody following his interrogation at Sector 20 police station on Sunday, according to officials familiar with the situation. Additionally, Elvish is facing allegations of incorporating snakes into his video productions.

“Noida Police has gathered substantial evidence linking Elvish Yadav to the distribution of snake venom,” stated a police official.

Elvish, along with five others, was charged under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Section 120 B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code on November 3 last year for allegedly supplying snake venom to a gathering in Sector 51 of Noida. This development occurred subsequent to animal rights activist Gaurav Gupta, affiliated with the NGO People For Animals, lodging a complaint at the Sector 49 police station.
