A collision between the Sabarmati Superfast Express and a goods train in Rajasthan’s Ajmer resulted in minor injuries to several passengers. The incident took place near the Madar Railway Station at approximately 1.04 am. Despite the loco pilot’s attempt to apply emergency brakes, the collision could not be avoided.
Today, on March 18th at 01.04 am, train 12548, Sabarmati-Agra Cantt, derailed near the home signal at Madar near Ajmer. The engine and four general coaches were affected. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Railway officials promptly responded by reaching the accident site, and the accident relief train has arrived at Madar to begin track restoration work.
