Dhruv Rathee, a well-known YouTuber, has refuted the “false accusations” made against him on Monday. This comes after Swati Maliwal, a Rajya Sabha MP from the Aam Aadmi Party, claimed to have received threats of rape and death following a video posted by Rathee regarding an alleged assault on her by Bibhav Kumar, an aide to Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal. Rathee took to social media platform X to express that there have been deliberate attempts to tarnish his reputation and that those responsible are portraying themselves as victims.
Dhruv Rathee expressed that he has become accustomed to facing false accusations, receiving death threats on a daily basis, enduring degrading insults, and being targeted by organized efforts to tarnish his reputation. He further highlighted the irony of the situation, as those responsible for these actions are portraying themselves as victims. It is widely known who is orchestrating these attacks, as their intention is to silence him. However, Dhruv Rathee firmly stated that he will not be silenced. Swati Maliwal has recently accused the Aam Aadmi Party and its volunteers of orchestrating a campaign to assassinate her character. She claimed that the situation worsened after Dhruv Rathee shared a one-sided video against her. In order to provide evidence, Maliwal posted screenshots of abusive messages she received on her social media platform.
Expressing her distress, Maliwal stated, “Following the character assassination, victim shaming, and emotional manipulation orchestrated by the leaders and volunteers of my party, AAP, I have been subjected to rape and death threats. The situation escalated even further when YouTuber @Dhruv_Rathee posted a biased video targeting me.”
Maliwal also revealed that the AAP was attempting to intimidate her into withdrawing her complaint against Bibhav Kumar. She mentioned that she made efforts to contact Dhruv Rathee, but he disregarded her calls and messages.
